idk why people are in such an uproar over certain things being taken out of the remastered game, i mean it's built on the new RE engine and you already know modders are going to put in the things the developers took out, idk if the devs really went with a new voice actor for frank for the trailer to hide the fact that the OG voice actor himself is going to be in the final product (its capcom they tend to hide things in their demos and trailers for example the whole re7 demo is a bait of feeling like a "ghost" exploration with a little mix of blaire witch thrown in to throw you off the real games intensions until the final product came out) so I think they maybe hiding the fact the OG voice actor might be in the final product, if not modders have done plenty of AI recreations of past capcom games like Ada and Wesker's OG voices in re4 remake. I'm actually very excited to see this game get a remaster, remember the original being the first xbox360 game I played way back in middle/high school and I played it for hours and hours, sometimes a whole week straight just trying to do the survive for 7 days achievement. Was heeps of fun and can't wait to play the remastered and looking forward to modders making it just ever so slightly closer to the original to make it that much better :)

I knew for a fact it was pretty down graded but i wanted an experience since i couldn't play the original without an xbox at the time.

Wish that they didn't change the Veteran Psychopath dialogue for the remake. In the original was a Vietnam War Veteran and instead of calling Frank a communist, he calls him a mole. That's very dumb. Instead they should call Frank a terrorist or just keep the old dialogue

I’ve watched quite a bit of your dead rising videos and honestly I love learning more about the history and development of the original Dead Rising game and honestly I absolutely love the original game even though when I first played it on the Xbox 360 when I was like 14 or 16 back in the early 2011 or 2013 I absolutely hated the game because the game looked outdated as hell and the gameplay was too hard and levelling was too slow and I couldn’t cheat my way to the top and that god damn clown was too horrifying it took forever to kill the bastard so yeah I wasn’t wasting my time on this shity ass game it wasn’t until many years later when I was in my mid 20s I decided to buy the remaster and wow I absolutely fell in love with this game but I find myself missing the graphics of the old 360 Because it reminded me a lot of the older movies from the 2000s but maybe I’m just talking shit but the brightness or the graphics were just better then but anyways I hope you’re right about this game because honestly I’m about done with games all together I’m not even going to waste my time with GTA 6 when it comes out because games for me nowadays are just all God awful in every single way compare to games from the 90s to the mid 2010s but that’s just my opinion but the only games that seem to grab my attention nowadays are just remasters or remakes because every time I see a new game I just roll my eyes because you just know that it’s probably going be shit and when you know it but you decide to give it a chance because you love the Batman Arkham or saints row series so much just to be utterly left disappointed and disgusted and the price you pay for the ultimate edition of that game or any game for that matter nowadays are just overpriced skins that are just shit that you probably never going to wear and the story in games now are just so boring and the gameplay is nothing new because we’ve seen it all back in the early to late 2000s and the graphics are just a headache to even look at nowadays but maybe I just have a sensitivity to light patterns but it doesn’t change the fact that graphics are getting a lot more better with time and that’s the only thing I will say that’s good about modern games but I just feel like that this game may be my last game I ever buy because I am just getting tired of playing games and I think I’m just about done with them but i did make sure I bought this game for the playstation 5 and Xbox series X even though I don’t have a series X yet as well as steam Because of how much I love this game and the series in general apart from dead rising 4 that was sadly rush to hell on a rocket but I’ll still play it sometimes it’s better then whatever the hell SSKTJL was but I just hope i’m not left disappointed because I am a little bit worried about the voice acting in this game but I hope they give us a option to change between voices with the original cast and the modern cast someday but everything I’ve seen from your video I honestly like the look of what they did with the game because they obviously did put a lot of work into it the game itself plus the price for it is not so bad giving how the dlc for everything in the game is the price of a standard game so that’s honestly fantastic and very nice of capcom to do that because I was able to buy it on all platforms for myself even though I may of put myself out of pocket for a little bit but I am very worried about the graphics because I hope I can play it without getting headaches like i did with far cry and that god awful SSKTJL but I’m holding out hope that I can play it at least I hope so but if not I’ll just play be happy that I got it and just play the original game but to be honest I don’t think I would ever stop playing the original game even if I enjoy this one a lot and on a side note I hope we can get the turtleneck beta version of Frank West and the dead rising 2 off the record frank west too because that would honestly be so cool but I know we probably never will see those skins anyways keep up making the dead rising videos I’m looking forward to seeing some fun facts we may not know those are always fun to watch

Im 29 now but when this game came out I remember if you were subscribed to a gaming magazine sometimes they would send you demo disks to try and the first one I ever played was dead rising 1 on my Xbox 360 man I played that demo for hours and hours and hours and showing my friends all the crazy ways you could kill zombies, honestly I think this is what made me into such a fan of zombies and fell in love with shows like the walking dead and movies like 28 days later. I’ll never forget this amazing time in my life. Can’t wait to play this.

Him saying Viet Cong/Communist was just an insignificant detail, him not saying Viet Cong/communist doesn't change a thing. And finally, nobody in 2006 bought Dead Rising because Cliff said Viet Cong/Communist. His backstory was he was a veteran who lost his family which triggered his PTSD, him being a Vietnam vet specifically was not significant. To those who say its lost 'all emotional impact', how exactly or can you only feel bad for Vietnam vets specifically not vets in general.

I’ve followed your content for a long time, but I’m going to have to respectfully disagree. Mostly because I don’t think this remake has much respect for the original material at all.

But what do you think about the reduced difficulty and the expedited level up system? I wish there was a harder difficulty for us guys that liked the unforgiving nature of the OG. Auto saves don't have to be used, and neither does the time fast forward, so what about a harder difficulty?

This video is so well made. It made me infinitely more hyped for the game. I played the original to death over the years. It's a dream come true. I never thought in a million years this would happen. I hope DR2 gets this treatment and is bundled with case zero and west now that would be legendary.

Have to say when Dead Rising was launching in 2006 I must have completely missed the overwhelming abundance of forum threads declaring that Achievement names, Cliff's dialogue, Erotica and Larry's design was the reason people were buying the game. That those details specifically Erotica is what put DR 'on the map' for the majority of buyers and I'm sure all the people complaining about no pink circle in DRDR could express this concern to actual women and not be viewed as creeps. Just sayin'. Majority doesn't care, just like the majority didn't care about Ashley's redesign in the RE4 Remake ya'll claimed 'ruined the game'. RE4 Remake has sold 7 million copies so far, even though it 'changed for modern audiences'.

With the disaster of DR4 they had to put maximum effort in the remaster to try and get the fans back. If this is a success then they need to think about more dead rising games. If they make a new one they should make new characters to play as and don’t make you play as past ones. A choice could be nice like a male and female and 2 player co-op is great in these games to have fun with friends and if the do make a male and female character to choose could do it that 1st (host) player chooses and 2nd (joining) player plays as the other.

I think you are giving them a little too much credit. They clearly lost the actual game build data or made a decision to build off of one of the development versions.

I am genuinely happy with the gameplay and graphical upgrades they've made to the game. I have a few things I don't like, such as the camera being more over-the-shoulder, but I get it. That's "in" right now. I just can't fully agree with the sentiment that the developers respected the original vision of the game when they censored/changed it in a few major ways. I'll be way more interested in the game if they fix those things.

looking at how beautiful this is and how faithful the gameplay looks (which is the most important part of a video game…) makes the outrage so crazy to me, and this is coming from someone that doesn’t even think anything needed to be removed. i do at least understand missing og frank, i just hope the classic dead rising formula can come back now.

So when you reviewed this game and had played it as a day one fan I’m wondering if since they censored a few things for yeah dumb reasons, if it’ll dramatically change your opinion of the game. I get that ppl are pissed and I’m not saying they shouldn’t be but with all that did change and look great, I’m just worried fans are overlooking these GOOD dramatic changes for the bad as if it shouldn’t be given a chance.
